1. Use a battery manager app
Good battery saving app like juice defender or battery doctor can boost your battery life drastically for the juice defender it turns off your data chip when not in use, dims screen brightness, turns off unused apps and more. While battery doctor is a little bit different it tracks your usage and tells you which app is sapping battery life and how to shut it.
2. Disable or Uninstall unused apps
Open settings>>apps and Uninstall any apps you don't use if you can't Uninstall them then disable them.
3. No live wallpapers
Live wallpapers may be pretty right but they take more processing power resulting in shorter battery life, use a normal wallpaper dark wallpapers are a good option on AMOLED screen as AMOLED uses lesser power for black colours.
4. Delete your widgets
Widgets may be awesome and useful but if you're desperate for battery life you better delete them as widgets run passively on the home screen therefore sapping more battery life.
