LG rolled out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the G2 smartphone in South Korea back in mid-January. After a long wait, the Indian owners of G2 finally get a word on Lollipop update - to expect it in Q2 of 2015.
LG India’s Twitter account revealed that the G2 owners will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the second quarter of 2015 - between April and June. This will be a major update from the current KitKat and hence we recommend to backup your data, perform a factory reset and then download the Lollipop update over a Wi-Fi connection.
LG had released the Lollipop update for the G3 in India but the performance of the update is not that exemplary. Quite possible that the Android 5.0’s memory leak bug is causing that and is expected to be fixed with the Android 5.1 Lollipop update.
- @LGIndiaTweets when are you planning to rollout Lollipop in LG G2 in India?? Why always so late ???
