Huawei KIW-AL20 certified by Chinese regulator TENAA, could be the honor 7 Plus

The Huawei KIW-AL20 has been certified by Chinese regulator TENAA. This could end up being the premium version of the honor 7 that we told you about last September, the honor 7 Plus. The phone certified by TENAA features a 5.5-inch screen, the same size as the display rumored to be on the honor 7 Plus.

Huawei's home-grown Kirin 950 chipset is under the hood. This is the top chip designed by the company, and it drives the powerful Huawei Mate 8. The Kirin 950 SoC contains an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of native storage. Those requiring additional memory can access the 128GB capacity microSD slot that is available. A 13MP camera graces the rear of the phone, while the 5MP front-facing snapper is used for selfies and video chats. A fingerprint scanner is included, and Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed.

The metal-clad Huawei KIW-AL20 (it comes with a brushed metal design on the back) measures 8.15mm thick, and weighs in at 158 grams. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity, and will be offered to consumers in Gold, Gray and Silver.

Will this end up being the honor 7 Plus? That isn't clear. Whatever the KIW-AL20 is, now that it has made the required visit to TENAA, the phone could be officially introduced by Huawei soon. And no, we didn't forget. The usual pictures from TENAA are available for you to peruse below
