Yesterday, Xiaomi finally took the wrapper off its new flagship offer. Complete with a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6 GB of RAM and a dual 12MP main camera setup, the Mi 6 is one impressive device. However, with a display diagonal of just 5.15 inches, it's going to be too small for phablet lovers.
This left some fans waiting anxiously on the Mi 6 Plus. Contrary to some earlier rumors, the 5.7-inch phablet did not accompany the Mi 6 at yesterday's event. Still, despite this tardiness, Xiaomi appears to be moving thing along with the Mi 6 Plus, which already showed up in a 3C certification listing, under a "MDE40" model number.
The document offers little actual information on the handset, but it is indicative of an impending release. Renowned Chinese analyst Pan JiuTing says we should expect the Mi 6 Plus in about two months.
As for specs, we only have a few leaks to go by. As far as we currently know, the handset will offer a 5.7-inch FullHD display, along with the same Snapgradon 835 chip, 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage.

We can only assume the dual 12MP main camera setup will be carried over as well. So, that leaves an increase in battery capacity up to 4,500 mAh as the other major difference between the pair. While we wait on a bigger Mi 6, it is also worth mentioning that fans have the Mi Max 2 and Mi Mix 2 to look forward to as well. Hopefully, two months will be enough for all three devices to arrive.
