FCC certifies the Xiaomi Mi 5X and its 3,000mAh battery

Samuel Enife - 1:22 AM
Things are lining up for the Xiaomi Mi 5X launch – the date is set (July 26) and leaks have given us a peek at the specs and the looks of the phone. Perhaps the final hurdle – an FCC certification – has been cleared, so we’re all ready for launch.
The certificate goes into detail about the battery side of things – 3,000mAh Li-Po power pack charged over a USB-C cable by a 10W adapter (5V @ 2A). That, combined with the rumored Snapdragon 625 chipset, should result in a solid battery life.
Even though specs info remains unofficial, people are lining up on Mi.com – 250,000 people have registered their interest in the Mi 5X. Those, of course, are not pre-orders. Those will come later at an expected price of CNY 2,000 (about $300/€255).
A quick refresh on the other specs – 5.5” 1080p screen, 4GB RAM, Android 7.1 Nougat (with the new MIUI 9). There will be (perhaps) a higher end model with Snapdragon 660.
