Xiaomi is yet to announce the Redmi Note 6 Pro, intended for the Indian market. Earlier leaked specs suggested the phone will have Snapdragon 660 and 4/64 GB memory combination. Thanks to some leaked photos of the retail box of the phone and the device itself, we know more specs. The Redmi Note 6 Pro will have a 6.26” screen with a notch, four cameras and a huge battery.
The display will come with 19:9 ratio and Full HD+ resolution that translates to 2280 x 1080 pixels. The main camera setup will be 12 MP + 5 MP with 1.4µm pixel size and dual pixel autofocus, which looks like what Mi 8 SE has on its back. The selfie snappers are 20 MP + 2 MP and both secondary cams appear to be for background blur in Portrait mode.
The leaked image of the retail box says 4+64 GB, confirming one of the memory combinations, but we are expecting 3+32 GB and/or 6+64 GB so Xiaomi can push even more devices in different price segments. The battery will be the same in all versions and it will be 4,000 mAh. Let’s hope Xiaomi brings the phone with USB-C, but micro USB is also a variant, given the Redmi 6 Pro (better known as Mi A2 Lite) and the Redmi 6come with the dated connectivity option.
We are yet to hear anything from Xiaomi about an announcement date, color options, pricing and availability, but since we already have a retail box and a smartphone ready for sale, the launch should be around the corner.
