The Innjoo One is the latest device from the Dubai-based Chinese OEM Innjoo, while the Infinix Zero is the 2014 flagship device from Infinix mobility. The two smartphones have been compared a lot of time as the Innjoo One 3G HD (Nigerian version) seems to have been made to challenge the fast selling Infinix Zerowhich sold 20,000 units in it's first week of launch.
Below is a run-down of the similarities and differences between the two devices.
- Display: The Infinix Zero sports a 5-Inch Full HD display as does the Innjoo One with both using the same iPS LCD display, pixel density is 293ppi
- Processor: they both use the same MediaTeK MT6592 SoC with eight ARM Cortex A7 clocked at 1.4GHz and a Mali 450MP GPU
- Memory: The Innjoo One sports 2GB of RAM/16GB ROM, while the Infinix ZERO comes in two variants one being 8/1 and 16/2GB ROM/RAM
- Dimension: The Innjoo One measures 142.7x70.2x6.9mm, and the Infinix Zero is 140x70x7.9m. The Innjoo One is quite taller and wider than the Infinix Zero, the Innjoo One is impressibly thin at 6.9mm considering the Dragontrail Glass which it uses is 1.1mm thin compared to the Gorilla Glass 3 at 0.7mm which was used in the Infinix Zero
- Body: Both devices use the glass on metal unibody build although the Infinix Zero uses the more popular Gorilla Glass 3 while the Innjoo One uses the less popular DragonTrail glass, don't let the names deceive you they are both toughened alkali aluminosilicate glass used to protect smartphones displays.
- Platform: They both run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS although Innjoo One is skinned with the custom InnOS
- Network: they both support 2G GSM: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz and 3G WCDMA: 850 / 2100MHz
Battery: The Infinix Zero uses a 1,920mAh Li-Ion battery which is quite disgraceful for the manner of specs it carries while the Innjoo One sports a 2,600mAh Li-Po battery which is more appreciatable considering a battery less than 2,000mAh on an octa-core device would be a disgrace.
Camera: they both sport 13MP back camera, while the Infinix Zero uses the Sony Exmor RS sensor found on the Xperia Z1 we are yet to know what sensor is found on the Innjoo One they both sport BSi and LED Flash although they lack OIS(which is not expected considering price range) and AIS, they are both Autofocus enabled and shoot HDR mode. The front camera is where the main difference is as the Infinix Zero sports a 2MP front camera which is not too good but not too bad either for selfies, on the other hand the Innjoo One sports a 5MP front camera which is going to be great for selfies although more megapixel doesn't necessary mean better pictures.
PRICE: The Innjoo One cost N27,777 at launch the Infinix Zero cost N20,900 for 8GB variant and 23,900 for 16GB variant all in Nigerian Naira
VERDICT: while the Infinix Zero and and Innjoo One are both great mid-rangers in their own right your choice depends on many aspects, in a situation where one needs a premium looking device with high mid-range specs on a low price the Infinix Zero is your baby, but even if you want to put more bucks buying the Innjoo One isn't advisable as the Innjoo One sim 2 Nano sim slot is also a MicroSD slot which means you have to sacrifice your second sim to put in a MicroSD card.
