Few weeks after the Nokia N1 tablet was introduced, Nokia has also announced it's first smartphone running Android OS; the Nokia C1 running on Android's latest version: 5.0 Lollipop. According to rumours reaching SamTechng the specifications of the device are as follows:
An Intel chipset (speed and number of cores still unspecified) backed by 2GB of RAM.
A 5" HD 720p display and 32GB of inbuilt memory. An 8MP camera sits at the back alongside a 5MP front facer.
Nokia Z launcher comes with the Nokia C1 just like in the Nokia N1 tab. Due to the acquisition deal with Microsoft, Nokia is prohibited from making smartphones until 2016, but the Finland based company is not prohibited from putting it brand name on other devices from other OEM.
There's no confirmation whatsoever for the availability of the device. Although our source says it may be launched by 2015/2016
